This is Mia. She is an amazing canine. She sits on command, jumps through hoops, shakes your hand and even dances with you. She protects us during the night and during the day she takes advantage of us by getting herself let in the house whenever she pleases. When she is not putting on a show in order to get her way she is ripping apart Crocky. Crocky is the green remains of what was at one time a stuffed animal. (Look by her feet in the second picture) when I say ripping apart I mean that she shows NO mercy to the toy. Sometimes we hear a huge uproar from the chickens and roosters on our property and we look out and see Mia chasing them around with a look of pure happiness on her face. She often steals the eggs from the poor chickens and eats them. She does have an incredibly shiny coat because of it.

What's in the bag?
Yes. You guessed it... Chickens!! The man you see is an 83 year old Brazilian who decided he wanted to relocate the chickens we were looking after to another yard of course this old man grabbed 7 chickens with ease me (Kyria) just 1..... so I guess we just aren't farm girls. But we had fun pretending we were.

So far so good!
This is an update on our general well being.- It has been very cold as of late. So imagine us layering on 4 shirts a sweater and a jacket with 2 pairs of socks and our rain boots, tights on under our skirts and I (taylor) put on every slip I brought. [this picture was taken before the freeze]
Today it has cleared up and the weather is wonderful. Our ministry has been intense from the get-go. We have been left with at least 12 bible studies to take care of. So every morning with our coffee we plan out our day with info sheets and maps of who we are going to see. We walk about 3 miles a day in the ministry. I think I may have started a Bible study of my own. I am supposed to call her tomorrow but my $30 bolivia cell phone broke so that is quite a bummer.
Which brings us to the next subject: Taylor and Kyrias constant fight for Internet. The Bolivian Internet and us are not amigos. It runs out on us constantly or just decides to not recognize its own existence. The poor bible study who has a fixing phone shop sees us 3x a week.
Health: We both are acclimating quite well to 3rd world life except for a few things- 1) lack of being able to eat fruits and veggies easily 2) the initial shock of being here. Symptoms: hight level of emotion, stomach problems
3)seeing sickly dogs running around everywhere! Kills Taylor a little everytime.
4) forgetting to NOT rinse your toothbrush under the faucet
5) a strange rash on Taylor's leg that we hope with a little TLC and antibiotic ointment it will be cured.

Paílon witnessing day. Predicando en Paílon.
Kyria, Allison, Elian And otro hermano standing in front of the Paílon group meeting hall. ( it's not a Kingdom Hall yet because a group is just reforming in this town about half an hour from where we live) Right after the meeting a brother recruited us to do a bible study with two girls in the town. Turns out it was 3 girls and a young man... (2nd foto) No pressure... The study was beautiful. And we are hoping to see them at the group meeting in Paílon this Sunday. We are very excited to have this town in our territory.
Spot the extranjera! ( foreigner)

Here is a Cuban guy.
That's the Cuban guy handing Taylor a snake. This is just a after his co-worker yelled at him to be careful because the snake is known to bite... Just wonderful.

Testing the mosquito net
Kyria just wanted to make sure her new $26 mosquito net worked. We are very happy to say that the mosquito net worked like a champ against Torrances' nonexistent mosquito population. We're all set!
